My name is Martin Silvertant. I'm a Dutch freelance graphic designer and illustrator. I have two graphic design businesses.

My first business is called "Ba'al Graphics". The focus is graphic design and esoteric illustrations for bands with a darker sound or theme. In this business I work under my pseudonym "Médan Savamhel". The business was founded in 2006.

My second business is called "Célente Design". The focus is graphic design for alternate music genres and more commercial clients. The business was founded in 2009.

I also run a small label called "Bibliotheca Apostolica Septem Coronatorum" (BASC). With BASC I concentrate on producing unique and high quality products for excellent Black Metal bands with strictly esoteric themes. The label was founded in 2007.

In my free time I like to research various esoteric subjects, particularly about angelology, demonology, eschatology, qabalah and qliphoth. I occasionally also write about these subjects. I started writing a book called "The Occult Labyrinth", though I have no idea it will ever be done.


I cleaned up my gallery; I deleted about 10 of my works and I'm slowly replacing my logos with versions with an updated presentation template. So on to a sense of higher quality in my gallery.

Also, I'm working on several commissions. There' quite a lot I haven't posted yet.

And I just put Scaenarium Unus - which I received a Daily Devation for - into my scraps. How cool am I to scrap a DD? But in all seriousness, I'm not proud of that font and the person who gave it a DD clearly has no taste. I mean, it's a great font to use if you want a blackletter that looks hand-written, but exactly for that reason it's not a beautiful font. So anyway, I didn't feel like it belonged in my gallery (anymore) because of the lack of quality. I would delete it, but I guess I will keep it online for some more people to enjoy it. At least, I hope the favorite additions still link to the deviation. If not, alas.

I watched Vidocq a few days ago. I’d like to use Edmund Blackadder’s words to describe my opinion about the movie: “Well it started badly anbd it tailed off a little in the middle and the less said about the end the better... but apart from that, excellent.” So it was not my kind of movie, really. But I could understand the movie without having to read the undertitles, which gave me a small experience of success.
